Mike Smith - Keys and Vocals
Mike is keyboards and vocals. He has a career in the business that stretches back to 19…………… (at this point it just trailed off into a vague mumble!!!)
He has worked as a keyboard player/programmer with a bunch of famous names including The Bachelors , Gary Numan , ELP, The swinging Blue Jeans and Cliff Richard ! How such an eclectic crowd fits together is a bit of a mystery (as much to Mike as to other people!!) but for the last 15 years he has kept a lower profile and worked with Naz in the very successful IN TRANSIT.
Mike owns his own studio and also works in the library music industry along with a selection of production projects.
Naz - Vocalist
Naz is the front person and main vocaliste with IN TRANSIT. She looks fab and sounds even better!
Naz and Mike met in a touring theatre show featuring tributes to Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly where Mike was MD and Naz was part of the B.V section. Before that Naz had a successful career with a function band and a two girl duo based in Bristol.
Naz has worked with several name acts including The Bachelors , Edison Lighthouse and Johhny Wakelin.
The Band
IN TRANSIT have been gaining a reputation as an act that can effortlessly fill a large stage. They are equally at home in a “one spot” cabaret gig or performing band sets and always create a party atmosphere with extensive audience participation. Don’t book them for background music!
This is a fully self contained act with laptop based backing tracks (produced and recorded by the band) and live keyboards and vocals.
They have a wealth of experience having been touring cabaret , resident band and larger outfits (4,5,and 6 piece).
Ultimately the core of the act is and has always been Mike Smith and Naz (Keys and vocals) and this is still one of the most exciting and entertaining acts currently touring.
Because of the current economic climate , they have decided to put all the larger line-ups on ice and concentrate on the duo. This is no real compromise on quality but it is financially much more attractive.
P.A . As large as you like (2-7Kw) and full lightshow ( if requested) make this a “must book” act.
